I’m still here

Please forgive my neglect. I’ll explain tomorrow, if I feel like it, but I probably won’t want to rehash. I’m pretty big on moving on and letting go, but I’ll have something for you tomorrow.
Thanks for understanding.

Have a great last day of ’09 and an even better first day of ’10.

  1. Good to know you're alive and well, Gina! Have a happy New Year and remember, the past is the past for a reason…

…Okay, that didn't really make any sense. But you know I was TRYING to saying something meaningful, right? đŸ˜‰

  2. Happy New Year!!!
Damn it woman-Rehash. I started re-hashing some serious things that had happened in the last year, and some resentments that I was trying hard to push into a dusty corner in my brain cellar. I can't remember the last time I wrote like that. It just poured and poured… and poured… out of me. I never published it. I did eventually go back and pull from it. The part I pulled out was turned into a post, that post became an article. That article became a 'Feature' and then an *editors pick*. But first I had to empty it all out, then go back and look at it again. What I found there was something that I thought was of value. The editors did too. Much needed validation.

    You can read it here.

I could never have written that if I hadn't already written it (privately).

I've made my commitment to write and I was thinking that maybe we could make a commitment as well. Work doesn't allow me much time so I was thinking of a minimum commitment. I think we could do that. Still have a goal and a deadline, but without pressure. I'm looking at possibilities and trying to figure it out.

I'll be working weird shifts this week, maybe next week as well–as others take time to visit family since we all worked the holidays. But I will be around.

  3. T,

You read my mind. We could make a commitment as well. I left a comment on your blog about this and when you get time, I'll be here.

    Happy 2010!
